Garden Party

I am so excited and proud of the table top I did for Matchbook Issue #3. Thank you to Katie and the Matchbook team for inviting me to participate. I think it turned out pretty well, if I do say so myself. My bestie and floral designer Danielle Rowe lent her keen design eye to the table top design as well as executing the beautiful flowers. The table setting had a ton of personal touches. Fellow interior designer Rebecca Loewke and her mother sewed the napkins and table runners! Also, the Tiffany's bamboo flatware was my wedding silver, so it holds a special place in my heart. Please stop by and check out the rest of the article for more images, sources, credits and to read the whole magazine. I think it is their best issue yet!

Bill Cunningham

I can't wait to see the documentary about photojournalist Bill Cunningham. He is a genius and the pioneer of capturing street style in NYC. Mr. Cunningham is also a really kind person who is highly respected and adored. He is rumored to be intensely private, so I am really excited to get a little peak into his life and maybe get to know a bit more about the man himself. Who wants to go with me? Check out the trailer below...

Pattern Play

Cynthia Smith, a Vogue fashion assistant, chronicled her first Paris Fashion Week experience on Vogue.com. Isn't she adorable...not to mention her style is ridiculously chic. That outfit above is beyond. Ankle socks with leopard print Louboutins and a girly black and white patterned skirt? Yes, please! Check out her picture travel diary *here*.

Thanks to Sara for sending me the link to this story!

Metal Chairs

The hubby and I had brunch at Rose's Cafe yesterday (one of my favorite brunch spots in the city) and happened to stop by Past Perfect. Past Perfect is basically a mini flea market. We spied this pair of handsome Woodson Sculptura chairs while we were in there and had to scoop them up for our new apartment. Aren't they great?

Must Have Boots

I hope you all are having a wonderful weekend! It's rainy here so we have been stuck indoors. In my web browsing travels I came across these Rachel Comey ankle boots on Bird. I'm smitten. The heel isn't sky high, and her shoes are always super comfortable and made of high quality leather. I just may need to splurge. They would go with everything....dresses, jeans, skirts. Plus they are classic enough that they won't go out of style.

Splurge vs Steal: Baby Bedding

I have always loved John Robshaw's Noah's Ark crib bedding. It is so charming with a beautiful hand made quality to it. Unfortunately, it's $525 for the set. I was in Target today and saw the Dwell Studio for Target line. They have a design called Menagerie that is equally adorable and a bit more modern looking. I love the stylized animals with the lime piping and contrasting ticking stripe. It is 100% cotton and you can get the three piece set for $75!

Secrets from a Stylist

I have been loving Emily Henderson's new HGTV series "Secrets from a Stylist". The last episode featured the most adorably hip and beautiful family. Emily gave them two styled options for their living and dining room, and they chose the second option...also my favorite. I am in love with that coffee table and vintage Japanese wallpaper...

Undecorate

Hi there! I know I have been MIA this week, but I have been working very hard on some projects that I hope to share with you all soon. In the meantime, I am dying to get my hands on Dwell's new design book, Undecorate. It came out this past week and it looks brilliant. A must for a design book junkie like myself. Here are a few sneak peek images that they posted *here* on their blog...

Olivia P.

I was catching up on some of my favorite blogs yesterday and I came across the 50 Most Stylish New Yorkers piece from Style Caster on Happenstance. There are some amazing photos...you should definitely check out the article. Here is a pic of Miss Olivia P. Does the girl ever get it wrong?
