I'm working on furniture plans for a very large master bedroom at the moment. I've come across some great ideas on replacing the standard bench or pair of stools for the foot of the bed. As you can see in some of the images below, placing a small sofa or settee at the foot creates a cozy little sitting or lounge area. It's a great, stylish way to break up the room and is also very functional.

Love the first two images. I'm actually completing a master bedroom where we did just that...a sofa for the husband and wife to hang out in the evening and watch tv/read before calling it a day. Isn't it fun to think out of the box?
ReplyDeleteThis is such a fun twist on the classic bench and so functional too. If you have the space for it, this seems like the perfect approach. I am currently obsessing over garden stools and x-benches at the foot, but if I had room I would put a bench there in a heart beat!

ReplyDeletei have the same issue, not a super large bedroom but a huge long wall across from my bed. not sure what to put along the wall! need to mount a TV set but under and around it I am coming up with designers block. however, not sure a sofa is the best choice??!! ugh.
